Adult Protective Services

Investigations of abuse, neglect, self-neglect and exploitation of adults who are unable to understand
they are in imminent risk of death or serious bodily injury.
Endangered Adults: An adult eighteen (18) years of age or older who is found to be in a situation or
condition which poses an imminent risk of death or serious bodily harm to that person. Who
demonstrates the lack of capacity to comprehend the nature and consequences of remaining in that
situation or condition.
A resident eighteen (18) years of age or older of a licensed long-term care facility who is found to be in a
situation or condition which poses an imminent risk of death or serious bodily harm to that person.

American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

FACE to FACE PROGRAM: A humanitarian and educational surgical exchange program conducted
under the sponsorship of the Educational and Research Foundation for AAFPRS. In the United States and
abroad, AAFPRS surgeons provide complimentary care to those who suffer from facial deformities
caused by birth or trauma. The program offers individuals the opportunity to overcome the physical
limitations placed on them by circumstances beyond their control: deformities at birth, domestic
violence and war. AAFPRS surgeons use their expertise to perform plastic and reconstructive surgery
of the face, head and neck. Referral service to physicians in Arkansas who provide volunteer plastic
surgery for victims of domestic violence.

Arkansas Long Term Care Ombudsman Program

The mission of the Arkansas Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is to assure that long-term care
facility residents have the right to live their lives harmoniously and with dignity, feeling free to voice
complaints or concerns without reprisal. Call Ombudsman when you have questions about: finances,

Child Abuse Hotline

The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) dedicated to the
prevention of child abuse. Serving the United States, its territories, and Canada, the hotline is staffed 24
hours a day, 7 days a week with professional crisis counselors who, through interpreters, can provide

​Domestic Violence Support Group

At the National Domestic Violence Hotline, our highly trained expert advocates are available 24/7 to
talk confidentially with anyone in the United States who is experiencing domestic violence, seeking
resources or information, or questioning unhealthy aspects of their relationship. The Hotline provides
lifesaving tools and immediate support to empower victims and survivors to find safety and live free of
abuse. We also provide support to friends and family members who are concerned about a loved one.

Human Trafficking is a form of modern slavery that occurs in every state. The NHTH works closely
with service providers, law enforcement, and other professionals in Arkansas to serve victims and
survivors of trafficking, respond to human trafficking cases, and share information and resources. Our

Montgomery County CASA trains and supports volunteers who intervene in the juvenile court system

Solomon's Porch

Solomon's Porch is a faith based program designed to restore the lives of men with life control issues.
They house 30 men in 3 different locations. Solomon's Porch provides the tools and resources needed

Arkansas Apprenticeship Pathways Initiative (AAPI)

Winrock International and Arkansas Department of Workforce Services is associate with the AAPI
program. AAPI seeks to develop and promote Registered Apprenticeship Program around the state.
The HVAC Technician is a program that is being offered at National Park College located in Hot Springs.
This is a 3 year program that includes 160 classroom hours and 2,000 on-the-job-training hours. Classes
meet from 6pm-9pm, 2 nights per week, for a 12 week semester. The cost of the program is $450 per
year (billed at $225 per semester). Students may enter the program as a pre-apprentice and earn
classroom hours while seeking employment as a HVAC apprentice. To be eligible, individuals must be 18
years or older, have a high school diploma/GED, and state ID. If an individual is interested they should
