Cooper-Anthony Mercy Child Advocacy Center's (CAMCAC) mission is to "utilize a multidisciplinary team approach to providing a safe, child-friendly, and caring place where children are assessed when allegations of child abuse arise."
CAMCAC is a nonprofit community service organization operated as a ministry of Mercy Health System, a nonprofit Catholic healthcare provider. Mercy’s commitment to CAMCAC grows from a heritage of providing compassionate care and healing to those who are most in need, especially women and children.
CAMCAC understands that there is no one more vulnerable than an abused child. So in addition to providing victim services to abused children, we also take a proactive approach to abuse prevention. CAMCAC's Child Abuse Prevention Program provides children in our community with the information and tools they need to reach out for help if facing maltreatment. Through our Child Abuse Prevention Program we also educate adults in our community with the knowledge required so they can help children at-risk of abuse or neglect.
