For Immediate Release: October 30, 2020.
Hot Springs, AR – United Way of the Ouachitas acted as a distribution point for the Bandidos Motorcycle Club who for the past four weeks collected winter clothing to supply a few of United Way of the Ouachitas’s Partner Agencies, including the Jackson House and Ouachita Children, Youth, and Family Services.
The Bandidos Club Members, their friends, and families from around the state, including Garland county, worked effortlessly together for this collection drive. Joshua “Red” Adams said, “If it is in our ability to help others, then it is our responsibility to do so.” We had members from as far as Batesville, Arkansas who helped to increase collections by offering discounts to customers who brought in donations for the drive. The initiative began as a conversation regarding the impact COVID-19 has had on our community.
Among the items donated include coats, jackets, beanies, and scarfs for men, women, and children.
